Superman: Unchained was one of the greatest story arcs to come out of the New 52. This all-star mini-series was written by Scott Snyder and illustrated by Jim Lee. Decades ago the United States military obtained a powerful being, not unlike Superman. After years of using it as a covert weapon Superman realized he is not the most powerful being on Earth. Superman is pushed to his physical and mental limits. With a little help from Wonder Woman and Batman he is able to save the Earth but at a terrible cost. Also: Death Pool II!

Barry Allen’s resurrection back in 2009’s Flash: Rebirth set forth the events that lead to the DC’s Rebirth. It was later followed by Flashpoint in 2011 which relaunched the DC Universe into the New 52. Flashpoint: Batman ties in Bruce finding the later from his (alternate timeline) father. Also we review Deadpool vs Gambit #1, Action Comics #957, and Superman #1.
Review of Black Road #1, East of West (Vol 1), The Phantom: Checkmate, Superman: Black Ring and the Darkseid Wars. This week the crew starts a Character Death Pool with first round picks. Also an analysis of DC and Marvel Analogs.
Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Daredevil Season 2 all in our longest episode yet! Jason, Kyle, and Joe give an unbiased review for DC’s and Warner Brothers’ break through movie. Joe takes us to school while breaking down the differences between a Netflix season plot and a movie plot.

New Episode format with more comic reviews! Episodes are on an alternating schedule and now out every week. This week’s episode includes trade reviews for Mockingbird #1, Black Widow #1, Venom: Savage Six TPB, and Superman / Wonder Woman: War and Peace TPB.
Also an in-depth review on The Dark Knight Returns trade paperback that only a full blown nerd could provide. We’ll also be talking about the upcoming Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice movie including our hopes and dreams for it.
